Upbit Operator Dunamu Donates 5 BTC to Aid South Korea's Flood Recovery Efforts

Dunamu, the leading operator of South Korea's digital asset exchange, Upbit, has taken meaningful action to support recovery efforts in regions devastated by recent floods. The company donated 5 Bitcoin (BTC), valued at approximately 800 million Korean won (as of July 17th), to the Community Chest of Korea, widely known as "The Fruit of Love." This generous contribution aims to provide disaster relief and aid displaced residents as they rebuild their lives.

The donation will primarily focus on recovery initiatives in areas most heavily impacted by torrential rains, such as Chungnam, Chungbuk, and Gwangju. These funds are designated for immediate relief measures, including temporary housing for affected families, the distribution of essential supplies, replacement of damaged home appliances, and restoration of critical social welfare infrastructure. Furthermore, should additional damages emerge, the donation will be allocated to further assist residents in these disaster-stricken regions.
