Significant Inflows into Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs Indicate Market Optimism
The flow of substantial capital into digital asset exchange-traded funds (ETFs) serves as a positive market indicator. According to SosoValue, a digital asset market platform, Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) spot ETFs reported significant capital inflows as of October 16, highlighting renewed investor confidence.
Bitcoin Spot ETFs Attract Over $260 Million
Bitcoin spot ETFs drew a combined inflow of $260.27 million (approximately KRW 363.3 billion). BlackRock’s ‘IBIT’ topped the list with $129.73 million (approximately KRW 181.1 billion), followed by Fidelity’s ‘FBTC’ at $67.95 million (approximately KRW 94.9 billion) and ARK Invest and 21Shares’ joint product ‘ARKB’ at $57.98 million (approximately KRW 81 billion). Grayscale’s Bitcoin Trust (‘BTC’) also saw a smaller net inflow of $4.61 million (approximately KRW 6.4 billion).
Other major Bitcoin ETFs, including Bitwise’s ‘BITB,’ VanEck’s ‘HODL,’ and Valkyrie’s ‘BRRR,’ did not show significant patterns of inflows or outflows during this period.
Ethereum Spot ETFs See Continued Growth
Ethereum spot ETFs also garnered substantial funds, with Fidelity’s ‘FETH’ attracting $13.57 million (approximately KRW 30.9 billion) and Grayscale’s Ethereum Trust (‘ETH’) recording net inflows of $8.55 million (approximately KRW 11.9 billion). Meanwhile, products from Invesco (‘QETH’), Bitwise (‘ETHW’), VanEck (‘ETHV’), and 21Shares (‘CETH’) showed minimal capital movement.
ETF Prices Reflect Positive Momentum
As a result of these inflows, prices of all listed Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs demonstrated an upward trend. Bitcoin spot ETFs, except for Hashdex’s ‘DEFI,’ which rose 0.45%, posted gains between 0.7% and 0.9% compared to the previous day. Likewise, Ethereum spot ETFs saw price increases ranging from 2.3% to 2.5%.
This renewed investor interest in Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs signals a resurgence of market optimism, potentially paving the way for continued upward momentum in the digital asset sector.
