  • Quant rallies as The Clearing House and major UK banks choose its platform for tokenized deposits and settlements.
  • QNT price surge hits technical extremes, but direct token utility from these deals remains unconfirmed.

On September 28, 2026, Cryptopolitan reported that Quant (QNT) surged more than 300% this week after The Clearing House—a US payments network owned by 25 top banks, including JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, and Citi—selected Quant to power its upcoming tokenized deposit network in the United States. The system, expected to launch in early 2027, signals growing institutional movement toward onchain finance.

Seven leading UK banks, including Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds, NatWest, and Santander, completed the first interbank settlements using tokenized pound deposits through Quant’s Overledger platform. This milestone for bank-backed tokenized settlements in Britain highlights Quant’s role as a connector between traditional banking deposits and blockchain infrastructure across both the US and UK.

QNT’s price jumped from around $64 to a high of $371 during the rally, before retracing to $260. Cryptopolitan stated the daily RSI reached 86—the most overbought signal in five years—while price faced sharp resistance between $320 and $370. Technical analysis indicates the rally is overextended and may be entering a pullback phase.

While these developments place Quant’s technology at the center of new digital deposit initiatives for major banks, it remains unclear if the networks will directly drive QNT token usage or revenue. Both The Clearing House and the UK banks are leveraging Quant’s corporate infrastructure, but have not disclosed whether QNT tokens will be required for network activity. AltcoinBuzz noted that traders are pricing in potential future adoption rather than confirmed direct QNT utility.

As of September 28, 2026, 04:09 UTC, Quant (QNT) trades at $258.71, with a 48.6% increase in 24-hour trading volume, according to the latest market data.
