# Blockchain and Web3 Startups Secure $1.15 Billion in June 2025 Funding Amid Rising Investor Activity In June 2025, blockchain and Web3 startups collectively raised $1.15 billion (approximately KRW 1.56 trillion) across 140 investment deals, reflecting a 3% increase in total funding and a 9% rise in the number of transactions compared to the prior month. This data comes from a new investment report published by Messari on the X platform. The standout performer among these startups was prediction market platform Kalshi. The company, which counts Donald Trump Jr. as a member of its advisory board, secured $185 million in funding at a valuation of $2 billion. According to Cointelegraph, the funding round saw participation from high-profile investors including Paradigm, Sequoia Capital, Multicoin Capital, Neo, Bond Capital, and Citadel Securities CEO Peng Zhao. Kalshi has gained significant traction after a legal win against the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), which allowed the platform to offer prediction products on a wide range of real-world events, including political elections, sports, and economic developments. With the fresh capital, Kalshi aims to enhance its integration with major brokers and introduce innovative contract models. # Digital Asset Firms Drive Institutional Adoption with Strategic Moves Following closely behind Kalshi, Digital Asset raised $135 million in a bid to drive institutional adoption of the Canton Network. Meanwhile, Eigen Labs, backed by a16z Crypto, successfully secured $70 million to strengthen privacy and scalability for its EigenLayer and EigenDA projects. In another significant development, Zama FHE, a startup specializing in fully homomorphic encryption technology, raised $57 million in a Series B funding round. The company’s unique encryption solutions, which enable data to be processed without exposure in smart contracts, have propelled its valuation to $1 billion. These investments underscore the growing interest in blockchain and Web3 technologies as startups continue to attract capital for innovative projects addressing privacy, scalability, and real-world use cases.
