# MEXC Ventures Invests $16 Million in Stablecoin Leader Ethena
MEXC Ventures has made a strategic investment of $16 million in Ethena ($ENA), a leading company in the synthetic stablecoin sector. In addition to this investment, MEXC Ventures purchased $20 million worth of Ethena's synthetic dollar, USDe. This move is aimed at accelerating the mainstream adoption of stablecoins and supporting the expansion of the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
MEXC Ventures has praised Ethena for accurately identifying the growing demand for stablecoins within decentralized finance (DeFi) and for leading the market through continuous product improvements. Ethena is not simply issuing stablecoins but is creating an entire ecosystem centered around USDe. This latest investment is expected to further solidify Ethena's position in the market.
MEXC Ventures has reiterated its ongoing support for blockchain and cryptocurrency infrastructure projects. “Stablecoins are a core component in the advancement of the cryptocurrency market, and Ethena is poised to lead the industry with its development of various stablecoins,” said Tracy Jin, Chief Operating Officer of MEXC Ventures. “This investment will foster the mainstream adoption of cryptocurrency, contributing to more stable and efficient financial solutions.”
To encourage the adoption of USDe, MEXC plans to roll out a reward program worth $1 million. This includes fee-free trading pairs and high Annual Percentage Rate (APR) staking events. The initiative aims to incentivize users to experience and trade USDe directly.
Founded in 2018, MEXC is a global cryptocurrency exchange serving over 34 million users across more than 170 countries.
