# Ethena's Institutional-Grade Stablecoin USDtb Sees Rapid Supply Increase
Ethena's institutional-grade stablecoin USDtb has experienced a significant surge in supply recently. Over the past week, approximately $230 million (approximately 333.5 billion KRW) were newly issued, bringing the total supply of USDtb to $321.8 million (approximately 466.6 billion KRW) as of March 12. This marks a 250% increase from the previous supply of $90 million (approximately 130.5 billion KRW).
USDtb is an institutional stablecoin backed by U.S. short-term treasury assets, particularly products like BUIDL. Currently, the circulation of USDtb surpasses that of stablecoins issued by Elixir and Avalon, indicating rapid growth.
In addition to USDtb, Ethena offers a variety of products including synthetic dollar products USDe and sUSDe, and a decentralized perpetual futures exchange (PerpDEX) named Ethereal. Notably, USDe is a censorship-resistant stablecoin, maintaining price stability by applying a delta-hedging strategy using Ethereum staking collateral.
Ethena aims to provide crypto-based monetary solutions independent of traditional financial systems and offers a globally accessible dollar savings medium through the concept of the 'Internet Bond.' USDe is fully collateralized on-chain and designed for free use within decentralized finance (DeFi).
